Kritik integrates with your Learning Management System (LMS) via LTI 1.3 integration. Integration supports:

Our products and services are designed based on the internationally recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 standards in the United States. They are designed to be fully accessible to screen readers, ensuring users with visual impairments can navigate and interact with the site effectively.
Services are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and use modern security best practices to restrict access, encrypt data, and log requests.
Data is stored where your institution is located, either in Canada (ca-central-1 AWS region) or in USA (us-east-1 AWS region).
Data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or 1.3.
All web traffic is served securely on HTTPS port 443 (HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS).
Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256 encryption.
Kritik does not store any PII from partner organizations, and we use the minimum amount of data required to successfully operate Kritik. We therefore have an overall reduced risk due to the lack of sensitive data we collect from LMS users.

Phone number (optional, if entered by the user for notifications of due dates)
We comply with FERPA by not handling FERPA data. Peer grading as done by Kritik, is not considered to be ‘sharing’ of grades and is permitted under FERPA – Family Education Rights and Privacy Act – regulations. (Owasso Independent School District No. I-011 v. Falvo, 534 I.S. 426, 2002.)
We do not store any financial information such as credit and debit card data. Payment processing is either handled with our accountants or in-app via a third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not have access to any payment information.

Data Storage: For our European customers we store data in Canada. The European Commission recognizes Canada as providing adequate protection.
